Why Studio Boudoir ~ Litzow Photography?

Well to be honest I was not going to do Boudoir photography. But on the first of August this year I wanted to celebrate my body and have my own boudoir session with a close photographer friend on the Gold Coast.

I am not a girly girl, I'm not very fashionable, I don't own a pair of high heels and haven't worn makeup since my sister-in-laws wedding 8 years ...ago! Yep that's me!

I was so excited yet nervous about pulling off that 'sexy look'. I had the most fantastic time and I honestly LOVED the whole experience! SO MUCH FUN!

My husband couldn't keep his eyes on the road on our trip home after the shoot ;)

The week following my shoot I was still buzzing over how much fun I had and it was then I decided that I too wanted to give other women this amazing experience.

I now have two amazing acrylic mounts on my bedroom wall and a little black book for my hubby to sneak a peak when ever he wants.

It's totally natural and ok to feel nervous, I was too, but a boudoir experience was the best photography experience I have had and I want to do it all again tomorrow!

I am officially opening my new Studio Boudoir sessions in November but I am taking bookings now. Sessions will be available during the week, some Saturday's and maybe Sundays. The perfect gift just for you (because every woman deserves a Studio Boudoir experience ;) or for your partner in time for Christmas.

Thank you to all of you that came to meet me at this years wedding expo. I don't think I personally got to meet all of you but I do hope that you contact me about photographing your weddings and engagement sessions very soon. For a little while now I have wanted to do an engagement session at the local show. A carnival themed session which shows how much fun the show is and all of those wonderful things I remember as a child enjoying and doing at the show.

I did a call out for couples who would like to do this kind of session with myself and a few put their hands up but it was one of my future wedding couples, Carly and AJ who really wanted to do this session.

I have wanted to purchase beautiful antique chairs for a couple of years now but just haven't found the right ones. I wanted to get away from the whole 'red velvet' tradition of other studios and wanted my chairs to have that beautiful faded out floral look for a vintage feel. Well in December I found some for sale and snapped them up! This last week was the perfect time to head out with one of my favourite families to take some VERY cute pics.

Kate (mum) owns the beautiful local online facebook business Rachipops. All clothing and accessories have been hand made by Kate so if you like what you see then search them out on facebook and go have a look.

Yes it's true, I am now doing child photography, well giving it another go for now.

Beautiful, inquisitive Sienna was my first portrait session for 2011 and my first family/child session for quite a few years. I specialise in newborn portraits and do photograph siblings at the same time but I haven't had a portrait session without it being focused on a newborn baby for quite some time.
